all you got to be carefull of is the mix best to start weak and strengthin if needed,,i use a 750 mil spray and wipe bottle ,put about 40mils in fill with water and spray on not in the sun and dont let dry ,,keep the mixture exactly the same so even colour appears if still stained increase a little remember it wont shine it goes dull greyish but you can buff using alloy polish and it comes up like chrome but the salt water will keep staining resulting in lots of polishing,,i just done the inside of my stabi and after i acid washed it i scothed  pad it then done another wash and sprayed automotive clear over it ,,,ali bright wont eat paint or anything else it only works on bare alloy so you wont go wrong   dont breathe it in and use latix cloves ,,you cant get it wrong ,,spray bottom up and hose the same way  it will have immediate effect and foams white ,,take a before and after pic post it here so i can see how it came out

the sea puts bronze color stain on it in spots ,i use a palm sander and fit a cloth to it works much better than hand buff and quicker ,i reckon you need a few coats of polish to get like a film build up after your first trip you will know what i mean im actually going to buff mine so shiney as then clear it straight over the top but not sure if the clear will stick so will only do the transom step through cover ,,ive done my stabi 609ht and my mates 589ht and they look much better than factory if your fussy like me buff it every time after use if it dont bother you ,,you doing the hull arent you thats alot of work as to just the rear transom like me

thanks for your help guys appreciate that.i think i might do the acid wash then spray with nyalic just to stop the marks on hull as im a bit too lazy and busy to buff it everytime i go out.sure if i hada stabi 759 i probably would buff it everytime haha but iv just gota lil 440 fyran that im tryin to make mint.

its easy to repair tobe the beauty of paint with clear as if you did scratch it sand it out and respray then flick some clear on it ,when i got mine i scratched it on a jetty the scratch then becomes blackish as the salt water hits the bare alloy they say simply reapply some nyalic will this pigs bollox because A the colour doesnt match and B you can see the repair,,believe me ive had some experience with that stuff

locall boat yard here sells osprey boats which are made in nelson and he was telling me that they no longer come nyalic just bare alloy and when one sells they acid wash it ,i think mclay are stopping using dupont as that to is a major to repair ,,paint bro cant go wrong and it keeps the new look ,when mine went in for service they actually didnt know if it was dupont or nyalic and when i said i sprayed it they were shocked couldnt believe the result,,its always going to be a ongoing problem alloy and salt water there are some gimmicks out there to be the saviour ,nyalic is an excellent etch primer ,nyalic is applied in my veiw for showroom sales ,why put nyalic on paint see the dvd when for years painters in the auto shop have been usuing automotive clear which is a thicker product which is more durable,,its a shame Aiden you live up there as you cant view my boat ,but what i will do is take a close up pic of a pontoon and let you see the result with paint

where can you get some of this auto clear coat? repco? any paticular brands i should get?
