Ha ha , sounds like something not to be missed , maybe you could organise it next Xmas, might want to work on your marketing slogan a little.

Will be leaving on the 6th, my son is at scout jamboree at Feilding until then.
Will be relocatimg to Pahiatua on the 2nd for 3 nights to fish the rivers beginning with M.

Nothing wrong just under the Fitzherbert bridge in Palmy, just walk upwards from along Dittmer drive, sight fishing with both nymphs and dries, but also spinners too if discoloured. Fish the willows on either side where big browns cruise there. End of Albert st is also a great spot, along the wider parts sight fishing again.

Pohangina is great near Totara res as scuzzymoto said, both browns and bows. Over Dannevirke way is also a great option. Fantastic fishing near Palmy, definitely a good river. Good luck and enjoy! Not referring to saddle bridge ,
I mean the 2nd bridge that crosses the Pohangina a few km past the totata reserve.apparently a good days fishing upstream from there . From the bridge it looks fishy , river less braided and more defined . Slight tea colour to water but definitely possible to spot fish .

Golf course- Mangatainoka River near the Tui beer factory, some very big fish in there

If your talking about the bridge heading over the saddle - just watch the farmer as 200 meters up stream is private land- not an issue but be aware of it... I would fish up near the Totara reserve area  - the side streams hold good fish, sight fishing best with dry fly(small hair/copper underneath).

Will try the upper reaches of pohongina above the 2nd bridge.
What golf course are you referring to for the browns .
Have not caught a fish on a dry fly yet so that being top of the list for me.

Make a nice change from casting double nymph rigs
Heading over to Woodville tomorrow to visit friends on a farm so may plop caravan there for a day or two.
