Size 8 is way overkill for 30lb leader and a 4-6kg rod]]>

You want enough guides to have the line roughly follow the blank curve under load, but use as few guides as possible to maintain that curve for a spin rod.</P>]]>

If your planning on running 30lb most of the time I would go up to 6's if your planning on using 30lb, what I have found is:<br />4's--up to 12lb leader<br />5's--up to 20lb leader<br />6's--up to 40lb leader]]>
