I've got a few ideas that would be suitable for Marlin and will help increase the conversion rate with fish lost due to shaking the lure. All untested albeit but ideas have to start somewhere. A lure can be made to track properly without a belly hook too, so you could just run a single rear hook... There is options.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>Cheers Sam , I like the look of the 70mh and I think a big spooled reel shouldn't be a problem (18000 or so ). Am quite keen to run a hook or hooks off the back of the lure using assist cord or chain ? Please keep me in the loop regarding three or four different lures , as Titahi suggest a saury pp, very nice , would like something uv blue /yellow and sinking stickbait ,as well as a&nbsp;popper,and a normal type 100gr stickbait <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>Thanks for the pms etc.</DIV>]]>

Also&nbsp; as sailfish are so taken with poppers would marlin be as keen on poppers - my idea of a stickbait rod was to chuck a stickbait at a striped marlin but how partial are they to poppers , I konw it would be a whole lot easier to rig and swim a popper than a stickbait .</DIV>]]>
