I thought he was going to be so massively undergunned that it would be comical, but the reel held up suprisingly well on multiple (50+) kings to 25kg over three days. Yeah don't get me wrong the 9500 is a beast but it is also big so i was after something a bit smaller and lighter. I can't use an overhead as i am a south paw fisherman. Maybe i should look at a Saragosa.

The Spheros SP8000 PG doesnt tell me how much drag it can take where'as the Thunnus has 10kg max. I am currently using a Fin Nor Offshore 9500 which is a beast and can handle anything but it is heavy and i want to downsize to one of these two. Look forward to reading some comments and reviews.

Shimano Thunnus 8000F

Shimano Spheros SP8000PG
