interesting that it appears as though the 08 spools will be compatable with the 13 model

Does this mean that the JM 16000 spool which fits both the 8000 & 10000 SW 2008 will fit on the 14000 2013 model?

That 14K XG works to to $1275 NZ (99000yen) and the 5000SW $1160NZ (90000yen), It'll be interesting to see the prices over here.

that 14000SW model, looks like it'll be a good popping reel, its got a quick retrieve and 300 mtr of PE6, should do the job

It's pretty confusing indeed because the 2001 Stella is named "SW" too in Japan while overseas it's called "FA".

I wouldn't know the price in NZ, but the overseas prices aren't going to be marked down as much as was the case with the 2008 SW. There is going to be a considerable hike.

The back of the rotor is not all metal. There is a carbon composite false floor which replaces the old plastic one and this time it extends all the way to the end of both rotor arms. The fitting of that carbon shield to the aluminium rotor is done very well that it appears as a single piece of metal. The rotor is more rigid indeed but it's because of the new reinforced design :)

have had reels in 6 days from taiwan , quicker than some stuff of trade me from the south island .
so in theory they should be on sale in n.z within two weeks of being released in japan.
