Thanks for the advice and info,Looks like yamaha have a better resale value,and will look at GTX seadoos to compare,There are some higher hour skis around which i have seen but some prices are close to that of lower houred skis of a later year but i do agree about higher hour reliability.I have another budget of about $2000.00 for life jackets,radio,flares,sounder and beacon just need to decide which is best.

Both crafts are good, but youre not comparing apples with apples, as they are two different series in the brand ranges.

The equivilent to the GTi is a VX in the Yamaha range in which case GTi may be better suited with more horsepower and storage, the FX is more like the Sea-Doo GTX series and you will need to weigh up the pros and cons with features and resale.

Do your research properly and dont be shy on an X Jetskifisho ski, with higher hours as we find they are better condition that of a saltwater ski having no use all year round.

1.Yamaha FX HO 2006 onwards is said to be the most stable platform for fishing from and engines are reliable.Maintenance cost reasonable.

2.Seadoo GTi 130 series with 4tec are the next best for fishing and reliability.Maintenance slightly more than a yamaha.

3.There is a  difference in price between second hand Yamahas and seadoos and looks like you could get more bang for buck buying a Gti 130 4tec as when compared year to year there is a bit of a price difference.

The questions i ask is as far as what i want to do and the money i want to spend is the more pricey yamaha a better buy 

How much more stable is the yamaha over the seadoo?
