The downside used to be, that the lip on it, made it difficult to skin the fish !<br />The added advantage that I had .......... took away the Nylon board and I had the perfect mount to place my BBQ on. Very safe ~ the stainless rails enclosed the BBQ with absolutely no chance of it sliding around.<br />It was co-incidental that my existing BBQ fitted in the hole ~ but I am sure it would not be impossible to find one that fitted. Brings a whole new meaning to the words "fresh fish" <img src="https://www.fishing.net.nz/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> ]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.fishing.net.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=87056">Steps</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 84409<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 06 Oct 2014 at 9:40am<br /><br />Sry cant put up picks at the moment.. thu nothing flash<br>Currently building a custom 54L live bait tank around the ski pole the bait board sits in...also adding a shelf below the bait board for sinkers and stuff.<br>Dont have rod holders around the board.... if there is a rod sitting there , and its temping to do so, they are in the way if boat swings , if hit a good kingie or KY... or droppingf a long line<br>We do have a rod holder in the motor well each side....pull your line in, dont wind fully up, drop the end over the rod in the holder down in the wheel well and makes cleaning baiting , fixing traces etc real easy.<br>Bloody bait boards have a lip in the front which makes filleting awkward....so screw from underneath a bit of ply thick enough to be just under the ledge...and a gap at the rear about 1" to 1 1/2 " wide .. this cutting board is easy replaced, makes filleting easy.<br>A&nbsp; small filleting knife (for bait fish) and 2 solid bait knifes attached to the rear by mounting the scabards ... a square hole in on rear cnr that a set of long nosed pilers fit into... this also is a good sized drain hole when washing down.<br><br>Planned are draws under the bait board to hold sinkers, hooks traces , etc<br><br>But for now, need to finish off the live bait tank before the good weather coming up at the end of the week.<br>]]>

Not a flippy one, but similar to the Surtees-style and he'll modify it as you like (I got a couple of extra rod holders). Very happy with mine and the price was reasonable.<br><br>He may even be able to make you a flip-over one, I dunno. Give him a call.<br>]]>
