Been scratching away at some wood getting another test sample ready... This is going to Ben @ Nomad, start of the season last year saw the kingies' biting the smaller lures up top; so I'm wanting to get this up there for testing ASAP... Ben tells me she's just around the corner...

Here's some photo's of the foil process...And a little sneak peak of the bait...

God dam wrinkles!!

About an hour later, all smoothed out...

Another 20minutes to add some scale texture...Ready for epoxy...

Ian, I am heading down this track... I will need to get some smaller inline hooks. Like you mentioned the size of these lures nearly always has the fish inhaling it and once in it's gob hook ups happen.

But then I would have to carry heat shrink and a benzo torch on the boat... I like the idea but probably not practical for myself, take enough crap out there as it is LOL

Hi Kurt,

I'm now thinking the same thing, I don't want a rigid connection... Guess tape it is for a slim/streamline connection that is easily repaired. 

I still have to get those other lures to you to test the new wiring... Will chase this up and I will be in contact. Hopefully Kei san does just that and puts it to good use Thumbs Up 

Hmm I also have something in the pipeline that you will like but my lips are sealed...Wee way off yet.

Again, Nice work Sam.  I have had some of my best luck with small stickbaits.  I believe that having a variety of sizes is best.

With the Baker rig, I think it is best to not tie the hooks together too strongly, i.e. weld/solder.  I believe one of the reasons for them breaking a part when a fish strikes is that you are then fighting the fish on a single hook.  If you weld them together, then you may end up with some of the same weird forces on the 2 that make trebles weaker than singles.  Just something to ponder.
