Anyone got any vis reports for opito bay area? Been in Switzerland for 5 weeks and keen for a Shorey on Sunday. Went to Mayor friday. Still few kingys around but all small. Seen biggest blue moki ive ever seen. It was a monster. I dont like to speculate but she was a freak of nature. Haunting me now. Chased it round but she got the slip on me.. Shot few smaller ones. The fish seemed really edgy. Viz was great. On saturday we went Whangamata coastal. Vis was good again and seas mint. Got my limit of Paua. currently at rings beach, looking pretty green in close with a decent swell .. Id say it will be filthy unless you can get to channel Island. Beach launching will be a mission in the swell if you're taking a boat . Hey guys, looking at heading up to Port Jackson area for the long weekend. I have seen there has been some heavy rain/strong easterlies etc smashing the area. After a forecasted wind change on thursday and friday, am I pushing my luck in hoping for a dive up around the top of the peninsula for saturday and sunday, or should I stay in Wellington.

Looking at heading to either the Mercs or the Aldermans this weekend. Swell looks like its dropping away tomorrow. Anyone have an idea on what the Vis will be like? Havnt dived there before, so not sure on what to expect after this weather.
