    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.fishing.net.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=74288">accurate</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 74714<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 22 Apr 2012 at 7:19pm<br /><br />Hi, I have got this fg knot pretty much worked out, I have been trying the Nomad type way where you apply tension to it after completing 2 half hitches after the wraps and then finish the knot with remaining hitches, I can put a heap of weight on it and it holds up great but I have noticed that once you have really stretched it out it becomes a little wrinkled up where the last wraps meet the hitches and bite in. It doesn't seem to affect the knot but is this normal ??&nbsp;]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.fishing.net.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=67244">laidbackdood</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 74714<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 09 Apr 2012 at 11:48pm<br /><br />Ive been using a short Pr knot for yonks and my guides are fine....as long as your guides are big enough.Thats the issue....I find a short PR &nbsp;quick to tie and never comes undone.....I use a 5 metre leader like Aaron and as long as you hang your lure down 1 to 1.5 metre from your rod tip,you dont even hear it go through the guides(right size guides).I use a little maverick bond when tied before i go out and i have 100% faith in my 1 inch PR knot.<div>I dont use a PR to jig with....prefer a short bimini double and wind on leader that i make myself.I can organise this in half the time it takes to tie a normal length PR knot.Only ever lost one jig to a couda and that was recently.</div><div>My mate showed me the FG knot the other day and his fingers went blue<img src="https://www.fishing.net.nz/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" alt="LOL" title="LOL" /></div>]]>
