    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.fishing.net.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=76145">PoppinTonga</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 69542<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 01 Sep 2011 at 5:19pm<br /><br />If you are hooking the lures up with a split ring, don't put them on when heading out. &nbsp;those big hooks beat the hell out of the rod. &nbsp;Like Nepptune said, if you pre-rig hook them on the boat somewhere. &nbsp;I use the railing or the railing stand off when going between spots and remove the lures when heading home. &nbsp;the shot from Brandon still looks like the belly hook is too close to the handle for my liking. &nbsp;Hit some chop and the foam will look like a cat got to it.]]>
