You will do more damage forcing it together. They are designed to have a small taper to allow for wear so it will never be &nbsp;a sloppy join. Just put some candle wax on.]]>

Having said that, it did come apart. Hopefully like most things it'll loosen after a few insertions? <br />I bought some dry glide this morning, it claims to have Teflon in it...so might spray it on my pans too.]]>
