They are there alright, but statistics say the albacore longline catch more around the length of day 14hrs

Iam only going on what I have read. full moon is around that time as well, 17.5 c out there behind the knights.

I suppose try and get al the favorable conditions linening up, and give it a go. Never know if a YFT or Big Eye jump on your line eh.

Good stuff. Milan, Nikojai and i heading out for a look next week. We went out behind Mayor on Thurs ...got a nice ably but only 5kg ... at about 300m mark water 15.5'
We thought we were "into them" & got very excited  and kept heading out wide but that was all we "saw"  ...very quiet, no birds no workups  except a few ky workups back towards shore 50 -60m
 
beaut day , but a tad disappointing

went out for a puka fish past cuvier yesterday, there was alot of sign up there (birds working, dolphins)  we were just on a meat mission so didnt bother having a go, but im sure there were albies there, the whole area seemed very fishy.

Slayer went wide last friday behind Mayor for zilch, even the snappa fishing was crap he tells me,  they stayed overnight at mayor and all the boys came home with was 4 snapps and 2 teras. long long way for not much. Still big ups for putting in the miles and giving it a go.
