Haven't tried it yet this winter so not sure how it's fishing.]]>

The top end of the tide brings swift currents right past your feet. Have had good success burleying 10mtrs upcurrent, casting straight out, good size trevs and ky. Ive never got legal snapper here though. One day. Buying&nbsp; cheap hooks and bulk 1/4 or 1/2 oz is worthwhile, making it affordable to suss the grounds out before putting out the owners.<br>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.fishing.net.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=65869">welshbaz</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 67516<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 01 Jul 2011 at 7:34pm<br /><br />fished from the point at cornwallis many times, you can walk around the rocks from the wharf fromt about 1.5-2 hours after high with just one boulder to negotiate with a bit of climbing or wet feet, takes about 20 minutes. there's a wicked current running past on the out going and you quite often get plagued with a bit of weed on the incoming. Nice spot to fish but has never really produced much. Have caught many ky there, the odd snapper and gurnard and have had the odd kingy cruise by in the summer.<br>If you're heading out there at this time of year keep an eye out for seals chilling on the rocks, they can give you a bit of a scare when you're not expecting them and they can occasionally get a bit aggro if you throw small shells at them to get them to move out of your way, won't be doing that again..<br>]]>
