Stick bait's that are internally wired can be done but the lure has to be split, this is not an exact science and some don't split cleanly, it also involves having to apply a new finish to the lure e.g paint, epoxy etc... Sometimes it is best to cut your losses.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>To re-wire a lure I charge $20 for the first lure, $10 a lure after that up to 5 lures, After 5 lures they are $5 each...</div><div><br></div><div>I use a Quality wire sourced direct from a Lure maker in the USA making 1000's of lures a day, they do not have the time for inferior wire and it's associated problems, and I have found it to be the best wire ticking the most boxes for it's use.</div><div><br></div><div>I also have some larger gauge 2.0mm annealed stainless wire for larger baits, or if chasing large tuna, small whales etc...</div><div><br></div><div><br></div>]]>

I have seen lots of lures broken such as Hammer head, Meron-Ya, Killer, Felcon and Carpenter. A mate had a couple of Nomads&nbsp;from over the ditch and when we went to use them same probs. called them up sent some pics and NO PROBLEMS<img src="http://www.fishing.net.nz/asp_forums/smileys/smiley20.gif" height="17" width="23" border="0" alt="Thumbs Up" title="Thumbs Up" /> to their great credit they sent 2 replacments ASAP. Out of those 5 developed subtle spiral fracture cracks in the wire tow points &nbsp;similar to the one pictured. This was with them never actually having been used just sitting in my tackle box for few months. There is obviously some problem with metal fatigue over time with the steel being bent and twisted under tension as it is.According to the store I got them from this is far from an isolated problem brand and as Ginga says even some of the top of the range &nbsp;lures have had this problem. Lesson learnt, buy local as the price of sending them back negates the original saving.&nbsp;]]>
