The rationale for a really short double is that as it leaves ya spool &nbsp;it is easy for the loop to throw over the striper guide as opposed to through it, resulting in tears, snaped line lost lures or worst case scenario a &nbsp;guide ripped off.&nbsp;</div><div>A short double is less inclined to billow out unevenly and wrap around the stripper guide</div>]]>
