RAL.... interesting. For up in the sollies though, I would like some longer, piper-type looking poppers as well.

...this little strikepro was very effective, looked a lot like the long-toms that hang out over all reefs up there, as well as the small gars...

...like that. I only had the one of those, and as inevitably happened casting over bommies, I lost that, so perforce I started using these small poppers....

.... which worked well, but I felt didn't quite have the appeal of the longer lure. Oh, that is only about a 4" popper by the way....
... that shot puts it more in perspective I guess.
As you can see, there are a lot more than just GTs that nail the poppers up there! :-)

But it'd be interesting to see what you can come up with!

I will let you know have some more made up, I have an order to complete of poppers in this size range so I can tag some on if you would like...

Or is this more your style CA? Thought the shape seemed interesting, after taking for a test cast yesterday I will be putting more time into this lure, it puts up a surprising amount of water! The photo's are crude and so is the finish, but it was for testing purpose's.

If you have some extra one's i would like to try them out on some Gt's, but will use 50lb braid.I lose to many on the light tackle.Let me know and add a price. Thanks guys, I am sure it would be candy for a lot of fish! 

I am interested in how it will hold up, those GT's have some powerful jaws....The anglers PB so far on the light stuff is 25kg so this will no doubt be chewed up, Wiring is the same as a larger lure despite the ability to apply less "hurt" with the light tackle. 

Falco, I have got some small popper and stick bait key rings that I have made for myself... I started doing these instead of wasting paint during colour changes etc...If I get some spare time I will make one up for ya' 

Marx, The gill plates and mouth are all carved and shaped... The thick coating of epoxy hides it a little in the photo...
