Picked up some 130lb YGK Galis Castman absorber Shock leader the other day. Up from under the chin and out through the hard part of the skull between the eyes...try to make sure you middle it....but at the end of the day anyway through the head will still work as kings tend to suck it in.Fresh is better if you can catch them....the shiny aspect helps i reckon.

Wont cast as well mate...I do an allbright knot to join leader to mainline(Mono) and it forms a slim knot which casts well and is strong.....Can bee seen on the dvd "Rocking it coromandel style with mavis" with the aussie dood showing you how its doneWink

No threading for me either. Single non-offset hook through the skull of a piper (I only use piper) with a small cable tie around the shank of the hook and base of the pipers beak. Break the front part off as others have mentioned. This works very well for me.
