Aggree with Marx the handle on the Shimano is a little long but that can be remied. It does however have more bottom end lifting&nbsp;power than the offshore.]]>

I&nbsp;preferred&nbsp;it to the Shimano when I used them side by side.]]>

I had it shortened by 3 inches........ also don't let 18kg kings flail about and land on it whilst in rod holder, it snaps <img src="https://www.fishing.net.nz/forum/smileys/smiley9.gif" border="0" alt="Embarrassed" title="Embarrassed" /><img src="https://www.fishing.net.nz/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" alt="LOL" title="LOL" /><br><br>Totally honest though only ever caught one king on it but it was a decent fish at 31kg, was running 9-10kg of drag over it and it folded beautifully but I was careful not to highstick and it still hurt like hell. You can't get away from the fact the rod is over 8ft and the fish has a heap of leverage on you and your back.<br><br>Not without trying I haven't been able to find any topwater fish since last November. Its totally different ball game to jigging and I'm still figuring it out.<br>]]>
