    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.fishing.net.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=76145">PoppinTonga</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 65913<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 31 May 2011 at 7:10pm<br /><br />For GTs, I have not had much luck with the Doggies. &nbsp;It could be I am working them wrong. &nbsp;I find that they corkscrew when even moderate speed is put on them. &nbsp;I would be interested in what techniques anyone uses for the Doggie. &nbsp;On the other hand the wideglide and the rover have worked rather well. &nbsp;The wideglide swims really well even at speed. &nbsp;I am going to try mine trolling one of these days. &nbsp;The Rover was a pain in the arse to figure out. &nbsp;I got one for&nbsp;Christmas&nbsp;from my son and figured I had to fish it. &nbsp;I tested it at home and I did not like the way it worked. &nbsp;I took it out one day and tried to use it as a stickbait and saw nothing. &nbsp;Then one time I ripped it in and the lure started chopping at the surface as I bounced the rod tip. &nbsp;It sent a bunch of water flying and got hit for the first time. &nbsp;I have continued this method and have had clients use it and it continues to be real productive.&nbsp;&nbsp;Needless to say, I no longer have that lure, as a tank came and stole it.]]>

Try different actions with them...."sweep and wind" is not the only technique for stick baiting!
