But, I thought a&nbsp;stick bait should sink? so it runs just below the surface. &nbsp;If this is correct, shouldn't a stick bait be made odf something that sinks, not wood?<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>To make a lure&nbsp;of wood - if you start with dowel (in big diameter), can get it shaped quickly with a rasp.</DIV>]]>

Don't worry if the wire spins, once you apply epoxy it should stop that. Once you get addicted ( and you will ) and start making diving baits that is when the wire needs to be tight so you can tune the lure. How much weight did you end up with in the tail? Once you get a few more under your belt would you be keen to trade some lures? Same applys to any other DIY lure builders out there. And again great work!!]]>
