    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.fishing.net.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=69774">Busted!</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 54813<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 24 Jun 2010 at 6:06pm<br /><br />I think that the cost of a wet box in that hull will be hugely expensive, almost cost prohibitive...<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>You might be better off, looking at a whole new sounder that comes with a useable transom mount transducer.&nbsp; The Garmin units are in the same class as the Lowrance, Hummingbird, Eagle etc in that they aren't really designed to do deep work.&nbsp; You need a Simrad, Furuno or Raymarine to do that sort of work which do come with decent 1Kw transom mount transducer...</DIV>]]>
