A lot of these things circulate on the net today in order for spammers to collect email adresses to spam or sell to other spammers. Everytime someone forwards it to all there mates they usually leave all the peoples adresses in the original, eventually spammers get the email along with thousands of addresses. Im not saying thats the case or the intent of whoever started circulating this one again but thats what ends up happening.

Go to Hoax slayer http://www.hoax-slayer.com/  and check out how many hoax emails etc are out there. No, It's not a scam to part you from your hard earned, maybe ssomeone's just after a bit of fame even if it is anonymous.
