My mate has a 5m BDC with a 115HP on the back, those at the Marsden Cove Hook vs Spear have seen it. - it flies, super stable at rest, can be quite a rough ride though in choppy conditions - but this is probably due to his driving style (he's new to boating and always goes full tit!). Also we recently found out that contrary to popular belief, having my fat ass up front in rough conditions is actually the wrong thing to do with these.  Supposedly better with the weight at the back, we'll be continuing testing in the upcoming weeks.  Due to the full throttle approach it can be heavy on fuel, but I think if driven normally it would be quite economical.  Has grab rails in all the right places and getting back into the boat is a breeze for me. Yes it's damn expensive to buy, but the build quality is good and the after sales service has been impressive. If I could afford one I'd definitely have one. If you're really keen to see what its like we try diving every weekend, so hit me up and we'll get you to tag along for a trip. lovely boat andre.

those BDCs are my fav nz small boat, they give me GAS. the videos on utube are fun. but any decent sized ally pontoon costs a fair bit too. id like a small frewza to start.

at the moment i think RIBs are the best value, especially used, easy to fix, hypalon can last decades if kept out of the sun, safe and such a soft ride.
