hey went out fishing today in the wainui river and got my first big brown trout Big%20smile.it was real fun bringing it in unfortunatly i didnt have a camera to take a photo of it Cry.

I've mostly used small "Hair & Copper" flies, with a bouyant dry fly as an indicator, something like a Klinkhammer or a CDC and Elk, or even a Humpy.

Did you get yourself a copy of the map showing the access points? They are available at the Hunting & Fishing store in Cuba street.

that trout is nice when we went down we seen a few fish about that big but they just wernt hungryAngry.what do you use in the wainuiomata river?and where abouts do you go? thank you.

hey,
 
i went fishing today in the wainuiomata river with strato and a couple of other guys.one guy got 2 hook ups but broke him off. we seen about 60 trout! but they just wernt interested in the flys...still a fun day though.
