No prizes for guessing how and where, this one went 67CM and unfortunately wouldn't revive - was a long fight on 10lb gear.Yellow was the winner again today.

Can confirm the method still works - they were keen on yellow this afternoon - despite the poor bite times we managed 11 snapper and 3 decent gurnard between 2pm and 5:30pm. 14-17m - colour doesn't seem to matter much, yesterday I was using an orange 40g head with a yellow skirt on my main rod, and a pink/lumo 80g head with yellow skirt on Rodney's rod.

Out on the firth this morning, sea was flat as but water was quite a bit colder than a couple of weeks ago. I had picked up some jerkshads from Kaveman so I was keen to try them out.

Fishing in 12 metres there was a good bit of current as I was drifting along a bit too fast for my liking. This is where micro jigs work well, because of their shape they get to the bottom quickly and stay in the zone longer.

I was dragging the Kaveman Shad’s on a 5/8 jig head and they worked really well picking up some nice fish on them around the 400 size. These are good quality for the money well worth checking out.
