Put a nice live squid into it, popped the lid on, plonked it back in the water and watched the poor caged critter sink into the abyss.... The bloody knot had worked loose

Two lessons learned;
1. The white PVC piping used did not float (standard bunnings stuff),
2. Tie a good knot and put some shrink tubing over it.

Other thing was that it would sometimes bump up against the yak (check your rope length), but it didn't create much drag when paddling. I've had three little blues hanging around my tube before too.

I've done the chilli bin set up and it works great to keep the livies alive. BUT it can be a real mission trying to get the livies back out of the chilli bin behind you. I put an over flow drain on mine too otherwise it buggers your centre of gravity, mine kept fighting me and wanting to tip me out before puttin the drain in.

I'm currently tryin to make one of these.
I may end up just buying the purpose built ones if I can't get the bladder made for me though.

I love live baiting but a lot of my livies die on route to be fished so it's quite a pain. So now I have to try and settle for a bait cage and catching the livies as close to the fishing spot as possible
