I get those lights from hunting and fishing and yes they come as you see them in the picture, minus the trace and hook. On the packet they say to put them on your main line between your traces (as in a ledger) however when I first used them I was getting a lot of bites and no hook ups as the fish were attacking the light. Now I put them down on the hook and have a much better result. I use them for snapper as well. Gurnard like the pink ones.

Does it come with the tubing and everything Like in The photo?

You usually find snapper Somewhere All year around.
Just comes down to what your trying to catch them with.

Thanks fella's.  The DVD was purchased from boatbooks and that's what they told me.  It took a while to get here.

Looking forward to exchanging methods and techniques over time.  Is snapper an all year round thing for you guys or is it seasonal?

I can assure you it is still in production mate....Wink....we've just sent out a bunch to the distributors.....glad you liked it....I'm not 100% but I think Paul Worsteling's Tackleworld Cranbourne will be/is stocking all of our DVD titles.

Good stuff Ozzie Fisho. It was the other way around here re: Snapper Snatchers and Soft Baits. Black Magic pre-rigs went ballistic - and are extremely effective. Gulp introduced Soft Baits recently and the craze expanded. Good and effective product also.

G'day fella's.  First post here.

For us Aussies, small calamari(squid) first, then piper(we call them garfish), then Kahawai strip fillets(We call them Australian Salmon) and lastly the humble pilchard.  Although most fresh baits such as barracouta, yellowtail scad and mullet also work.

Whilst in Wellington last week(I'm from Melbourne but travel for work a little), I purchased a dvd called "How to catch snapper" made by the Fishing Show.  It's not in production anymore, but I was able to get my hands on one.  Looks like you kiwi's have a trick or two up your sleeve and I was quite impressed and intrigued by the different techniques and methods you guys use to catch snapper.

Also noticed you guys are starting to use Berkley soft plastics(soft baits).  These have been a craze down under for quite a few years.  One thing I will be trying this year is snapper snatches.  Not very popular at all over here, but these are gaining popularity.

PS. Snapper are Victoria's favourite fish and during the months of October and November(that's when the snapper come into our bay to spawn), RED fever hits our town and we go absolutely mental!!!
