Good size, they scrap well. Got an 18kg one up in Vava'u back a few years ago fishing off squeaky Going's boat. 15kg. Good scrap. Quite rare to find one that size these days in Vtu. 8kg normal now. The fishery has been thrashed pretty hard by longliners.

So while you have been posting nice pics elsewhere, I have posted you a bunch of fish frames - about a week ago. I would guess they have arrived by now? I was just expecting the monster burley muncher would be in business by now.

The update is that some neighbourhood kids arrived with a 5 hoss 2 stroke mercury that didnt go .........and yeah ...badly side tracked ( it really needs to be buried .....deep ) carb full of crap ,every screw needed heat ( broke the bowl drain screw ...2 hours ) and I cant recall finding a dirtier thing ever .....and the main bearings are absolutely you know whatted .

I'm really enjoying this read and your work. If you use that drill press a lot or even a bit like me. Keep an eye out for a good hand tightening chuck off a dead drill and stick that in the jaws.
