Its possible that if the batteries were down a bit ....whilst cranking the voltage might have dropped enough to not wake up the ecu properly. I dont know your motor ....maybe marine is different but my Ducati wont power up the ecu (weber marelli ) if it doesnt see 9.5v whilst cranking . Well thats weird just tried to start it and away it went.🤔. Wondering if the voltage was enough to turn it over but not run the fuel pump. Cheers anyway Mike. Hi Smudge, i checked the kill switch, currently charging the batteries in case the voltage was to low. I will give them a chance to charge. Might take you up on the offer after that. Im in Waiau pa. Thanks . Like a true muppet after cleaning the boat last weekend i must have left the key on and didn't isolate the batteries. Went to go fishing today and both batteries drained. I swapped out the batteries but now the engine will turn over but wont fire. Suspect i have burnt out the fuel pump. Does anyone have any specific knowledge? Its a F115 yamaha.
