We (Hibiscus) have a 9.5m Naiad that's been in service for more than 13 years (maybe over 14?) and it's still going strong. It's had multiple engines over the years and 2 major refits as well as a few minor ones. Hibiscus Rescue 1 was back in the water late April 2024 after a complete refit and the new motors have already got over 700 hours on them now.  She will likely have one more set of motors on her before she is finally retired from service.

Thanks Smudge - it's very rewarding generally and I've learnt a lot and had to "unlearn" some things so I do stuff "the Coastguard way" when on the Coastguard vessels - that's important as if we move stations round the boat the next person knows how things have been done ... even to the point of how lines are tied to other vessels or even how they are stored when not in use.
