These 3 units should all be about the same price.

The NSS and Elite FS can do 1kw, I think the XSEs are only 600w. EDIT: Go9 is specified as a rather anemic 500w - this may be totally sufficient for your needs anyway, depending what you use it for, and evidence from people I trust on the internet reckon the actual output is more than 600w.

If I remember correctly the Elite FS can only network with 1 other unit, so if you want to expand your setup later it may limit you. The NSS has full networking capability, and I think the Go9 should do as well.

The type of boat you have may also play into it - if it's at all prone to spray, the pure touch screen units are a ballache as soon as they get a tiny bit wet and having some traditional buttons and dials is a huge advantage.

The 9" units have 800x480 resolution whereas the NSS has 1024x600, meaning you can actually fit more information on the screen of the NSS, albeit it is smaller.

In my experience a 9" works fine as a split screen (chart/sounder) whereas a 7" is borderline, you can run the split but it's better to switch back and forth between fullscreen sounder and fullscreen chart.

The processor in the NSS is probably a bunch faster, meaning it will refresh the screen quicker and be more responsive. Ideally you would be able to have a play with each one to see if that's going to matter to you. Simrad and Lowrance have the same parent company (Navico) and the Go9 and Elite FS 9 are probably very similar under the hood.

Was thinking about a simrad go9 xse fully touch screen or a nss 7 touch and dials So bigger screen size or smaller with dials,I've not used simrad or a touch screen before, so any experience either way would be of interest or should I go with a lowrance elite fs9, both 9 inch models are cheaper than the 7 inch, have a budget of around 2k . Thanks Hodee
