My Lowrance plots it , but it is not the best graphic. I tend to just watch the numbers also.
One of my 2 mates has I think a Furuno - near top of the line. He gets a brilliant trace of the temps - we tend to watch that more than anything. Anytime it gives a squiggly line, there is usually something interesting going on. Birds or baitfish on the sounder.
We will spend some time cruising around it - trying to find the boundaries etc, In the absence of any other sign, it is a pretty good reason to stay in that locality. At least until you are sure your target fish is/or is not in that area.

PS - I have to tell my sounder to plot it. It is not a default setting. But an option I can overlay on the sonar plot.

Alan L my sounder doesnt plot temp just shows what current sea temp is at the boat. I keep an eye on it as we are trolling along.
