Hiya team. Heading back to NZ in a few days and have a boat / trailer with a deposit on it to check out as soon as I land. I'm finding that the trailer rego transfer is pretty easy to do online. What I'm not seeing is anything related to the boat itself. It's been 5 or so years since I've had a boat in NZ and I can't remember what the registration process is, or if there even is one. 

At this stage I have a sale agreement which covers both parties details along with some disclosures from the seller that there is no debt or anything else on the boat or trailer. I used a finance company to put this together so I have a layer of protection in place.

Can anyone enlighten me as if there is a registration process for a 6.5m boat and where I may find some details?
