Why not ring cut it with a hack saw or wheel cutters. Hi all, I've got this fixed light on the top of my rocket launcher that keeps breaking when I put my boat cover on, its also put a hole in the cover. I'm pretty keen to chop the vertical pole in half where the red line is and I'll 3d print a fold down bracket to fold the light down before the cover goes on. My question is can I take to this metal with an angle grinder or will that screw up the chrome coating thats over the top of it? and maybe make it rust too?
