I brought a 12 v ceramic fan from marine deals which was rated with some stars but the fan is so weak its pretty useless. I have heard rubbing shaving foam into the glass then wiping it off works well for a short time but haven’t tried it. I have an alloy ht which we use early mornings when there's plenty of dew/fog around and find 2 x 12v hair dryers work pretty good.Also bought a stick on demister but havn't bothered to fit because reasonably happy with hair dryers

Try a 12v car fan directed at the window. A while back there were stick on rear window demisters available for cars. They would work. Small 4" or 6" 12v fan works a treat, either hard wire it or plug it into a cigarette socket

I know what you mean, did try a little 12v that plugged in with a usb cable from pbtech,Didnt really do the job.

Had a bit more success using 3m windscreen cleaner with paper towels but I think it really needs heat.

Is there a hairdryer 12v around a travel one? my work.

Hi guys. I know this subject has probably been discussed before.

With winter just around the corner and dark mornings ahead..... Has anyone come up with a decent way of de-fogging a HT windscreen. Have tried rainex etc, but don't really rate it to deal with fogging. It drives me nuts.... and potentially bloody dangerous.

Im talking about some sort of mechanical device.

Plug in hair drier, gas cooker on the dash, fans, candles ..... what ever works.

Im talking a 6m HT here btw... not a whopper so diesel heaters etc are out.

Keen to hear your thoughts.
