    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.fishing.net.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=87056">Steps</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 136580<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 30 Mar 2022 at 8:43am<br /><br />Never had to pre freeze.. even wet stuff.<br>The Food Saver has the removable collecter tray..which clean after.<br>Most of the air goes out before the liquids do.<br>Has the lever that clamps when pulling vacuum and sealing, never had an issue sealing wet.<br><br><b>OH Hint&nbsp; When making bags out of the roll...to get around the duty cycle a little, we tried sealing 2 bags at the same time...<br>Nothing between the layers.<br>Works a treat. <img src="https://www.fishing.net.nz/forum/smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" alt="Thumbs Up" title="Thumbs Up" /></b><br>Have been meaning try try 3 bags , just keep forgetting to give it a go at the time.. usually rem when putting the vac pak away.<br><br>]]>

Vacuum. Zip lock can be cleaned for reuse, vacuum bag normally clean, or easy to, and can be reused until too short.<div><br></div><div>Worked for me, but maybe not catching/processing the volume you deal with.<br><div><br></div></div>]]>

I bought something after posting same query on forum. It was one of the recommended ones. Works well. Didn't cost a heap - less than $600 for sure.&nbsp; Has the roll inside.<div>But - I have not used it for mega packaging. Just a few extra fish fillets etc. maybe a dozen or so at a time. Closed lid squashes down on the plastic bag. just those bumps leave enough gap to vacuum.<div>Then the heat melts everything together.</div><div>Alan</div>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.fishing.net.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=87056">Steps</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 136580<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 28 Mar 2022 at 5:35pm<br /><br />OK Before bring the vac pak back into the kitchen I hasd a thought..<br><b>&nbsp;Will it vac pac a ziplock bag? </b>not use the zip bit<br><br>1/So took a strip of each side of the vac roll put the bag thru it and into the vaccuum part and the vac pac roll part over the sealer....Thinking was&nbsp; dont need to melt plastic onto the element..<br>Sealed excellent but no vacuum.<br><br>So now thinking , one side of the vc roll is bumpy, maybe that enables the vacuum to go into the back.???<br><br>Took a&nbsp; small slice of the rough side of the vac roll, slide that into the top of the zip lock, placed so over one side of the rubber seal,&nbsp; crossed fingers hoping it would not stick to the heat bar...pressed the button...<br>And the big rag in the ziplock shrinks down to near nothing, sealing light goes on...<br>&nbsp;Lift the lid and damn perfect vac and seal of the ziplock bag<br><br><img src="https://www.fishing.net.nz/forum/smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" alt="Thumbs Up" title="Thumbs Up" /><br><br>And I now know why one side is smooth and the other rough<br><br>So now have a use for those off cuts of vac rolls.. well at least the rough side....seal ordinary plastic bags.<br><br><br>]]>
