Sats that place was loaded with boats, Fishing was red hot!!
Today there was a barge farming there but slow bites.....
That proposed one looks to be same distance, maybe a tad closer
to kawaKawa Bay.....

I think the new farm is shown here on Navionics. Haven't fished there, but I've seen a few boats in there when coming back from the other side.

Yep a few other areas are covered. It's getting pretty old though. Hauraki Gulf is done fairly regularly but the map is from 2008 now.

It's a heat map of recreational fishing activity, taken from aerial overflight surveys.

Basically hot (red/orange) areas show more activity.

It'll be a map derived from NIWA ramp surveys indicating where people fished.
