    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.fishing.net.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=45588">Lethal</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 1268<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 11 Apr 2003 at 10:43pm<br /><br /><P>try this Kerren...... a big snapper up to or around tweenty pound will do could use a smaller &#111;ne but i did this at a party &#111;ne year and i still d&#111;n't know what it tasted like as by the time i&nbsp;filled in the pit&nbsp;it was all devoured, evey&#111;ne said it was fantastic......</P><P>gut and gill the snapper&nbsp;&#111;nly fill gut cavity with chicken or turkey stuffing will take two lots of chicken stuffing, now slice across body right to the back b&#111;ne about 4 cuts each side, fill in cuts with what ever takes your fancy, wrap in tin foil, d&#111;nt scale the fish it helps stop burning into the flesh, dig small hole in ground to take you fish about 3ins all round wider and about 10ins deep, place &#111;ne hole bag of charcoal into the pit and light it, wait til all are glowing move it all out to the edges drop your fish in and cover it with the glowing embers when it has died down slip &#111;nto a lrg tray and go forit before its all g&#111;ne like what happened to me... save me some because i would love to what its like.......</P><P>Cheers Lethal</P><P>&nbsp;</P>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.fishing.net.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=43554">Hooka1</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 1268<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 11 Apr 2003 at 9:22pm<br /><br /><P>Hi Kerren,Have tried Eel and it was really nice,but make sure it`s &#111;n the bottom of your hangi or it will drip all over the stuff &#111;n the bottom.</P><P>Wrapped in Tinfoil or oven bag.</P><P>We often cook trout in newspaper &#111;n the beach.Light a fire and wait till it dies down,and you have plenty of embers.Scrape off half the embers.Wrap your fish in brown paper or three sheets of wet(Soaked)newspaper.Place &#111;n embers and cover with the rest of the embers.Bury the lot in the sand.You will have a feed in about twenty minutes,and it`s delicious mate,trust me!</P><P>You can seas&#111;n it with what ever you like,but i still prefer the basic salt and pepper.</P><P>Any fish can be cooked the same way.Just peel off the paper and dig in.</P><P>Thats the best way i know of having your own mini hangi.</P>]]>
