Coincidentally, I recently read a post on the Facebook page XLBG (which is by land based specialists around Sydney who chase kingies - bigger ones than I assumed they had there) in which one of the regulars explains his gear.

For what it's worth - not sure if it's the rod you're talking about in terms of length or PE - in a long blurb about rods he says:

"...Jigging master gt monster 85 II rods... The jigging master is incredibly strong in the butt but is a terrible casting rod and I would limit its use to situations that don't require long casts. It also lacks the feel of many high end rods."
