On the Clevedon side, they get some very nice fish. One of the older guys at H&amp;F Botany loves that bay off the river mouth.</div><div>As Steps said, the shoreline around Omana etc has some nice little rocky headlands that should have snapper at the right time of day.</div><div>If you look on a chart, it's generally pretty shallow right along that coast, not easy to access deeper water.</div>]]>

Not so much over plain sand. And obviously low light is better.</div><div><div>&nbsp;</div></div>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.fishing.net.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=87056">Steps</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 124035<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 21 Apr 2017 at 9:15am<br /><br />If you follow the coast from Snapper right around to the point off the sth end of Duder regional park.. there are many little rocky points, breakwaters around ramp,&nbsp; couple wharfs.<br>Most spots fished across the higher side of tides... including kings cruising thru.<br>&nbsp;These are also popular with many at night.<br><br>&nbsp;The snapper come up and feed on the crabs shell fish in 2 to 3m water which is also popular with boats ...<br><br>At the moment I dont know if the coast rd is open yet after the 2nd lot of floods.<br>&nbsp;Wasnt a couple days ago.<br>]]>

Best option would be to berley for baitfish and put a livebait out for a kingy. Some very respectable ones have been caught there.<br />Yes, all water is gone at low tide. Most people fish it over high. Please put your rubbish in the bin at the top of the track as there is usually a bit of a mess left behind by other fishos.]]>

I'm heading out with a mate this Saturday off snapper rock (Beachlands - looked good from Google maps). Only thing i'm wondering is if the tide gets too low around there.
