If you can work the stick baits so that kings take the lure, then it's half way there - if its got power to stop the kings you are hooking then it's fine for what you are doing. Dont have to go expensive. There's plenty of cheaper gear that I have bonded with and it's done it's job nicely so I don't see a need to pay more. For example I bought a 10-15kg Okuma braid concept rod, 2 piece&nbsp;(I do by the way have some expensive gear), 7'6". $180. It can load about 7-8kg of drag and is a lovely PE3-4 rod. I dont have to spend $500 on a PE4 brand name stickbait rod cause it does a great job... the brand name stick bait rods will be better quality, less likely to snap a tip and handle a bit more drag but I can make it work for me....&nbsp;]]>
