The Provider.
A BDC 4.6 with a 115HP and clears will keep you plenty dry cobber.
I have the 5SS 2013 issue,with a 115 Opti.
Will do around 70KM at 5800RPM or WoT.
Great piece of kit.
I think the new models have been altered to take heavier engines these days.
Sorry about hi-jack.
Choose the grungiest tyres for your investment.
Then build up from the rubber.
Never go cheap on boat trailer tyres,false economy. Ouch

Was chatting to my local custom trailer man late last year.
I recall him mentioning that he does not favour fold away draw bars.
I did not press him on why he has this opinion.
But he builds trailers for a living,so has his reasons I guess.
My extendable draw bar is a box section in box section set up.
With heavy duty pin and locking lynch pin arrangement.
Very solid.
I had the option of extending my boat shed doors out by about 2` to get the clearance to lock shed doors.

Look at boat trailer with hinged tongue then decide on your boat. Need less space to store the boat then.

Great thread! (now to jump on the band wagon) I have just sold my blackdog 4.0 tiller steered as it was a wet ride with anything over 1m chop (very common on west-coast of Auckland). I went for a sea trial of a new surtees 495 with a F70 on the back and to be honest was not overly thrilled. Am dying to get on a frewza f16 to see what all the hype is about but otherwise i'm going for a 4.5 Blackdog cuddy! I think you will be very happy with the Surtees if it tics all your boxes. They are great little boats, well built, very seaworthy and I did not find them "tippy" at all. I do not know of any owners who did not like them.

Most boat owners will think their boat is the best thing since sliced bread and good on them - their boats obviously fulfill their needs.
