    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.fishing.net.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=53169">Uncle</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 110841<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 24 Jun 2015 at 10:48pm<br /><br />Hi Eric,<div>There are quite a few places in the harbour you could try.</div><div>I'd suggest the Salisbury wharf as a starter, maybe the little jetty under the Mount in Pilot Bay.</div><div>Leisure Island can be good for kahawai &amp; john dory if you have a livebait.</div><div><br></div><div>The bridge marina has a walkway that allows fishing access.</div><div>At the moment there is hardly any sea lettuce so you could cast baits into the deeper water from there.</div><div>Next to try would be Sulphur point, either by the yacht club or out on the long wall.</div><div>Out there is good softbaiting for kahawai, trevally &amp; kingfish.</div><div>Fishing is generally harder in winter but there are fish there &amp; they have to eat sometime&nbsp;<img src="https://www.fishing.net.nz/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" alt="Wink" title="Wink" /></div><div>Good luck &amp; here's hoping your catch rate improves.</div>]]>
