I had read to many turns make a weaker knot and was thinking maybe my 16 twists is a bit excessive.]]>

They would always slip.and often break at the braid. <br />I try by tying 2-3 half hitches then pull braid and mono to tightn it up followed by 2-3 more and so on including when half hitching the mono and braid.as for the braid snapping I can only put it down to maybe burning it when I trimmed the end .<br />This is just what worked for me.give it a go and see how you get on ]]>
