The Japanese tend to term horizontal as 90 deg for some reason which can be confusing as other&nbsp;Asian rod suppliers like Smith and&nbsp;Jigging Master like to give a 90 deg angle rating or Vertical.<div>&nbsp;</div><div>As for the numbers, there is actually no ISO standard regarding what numbers and letters stand for by each maker. The specification label is normally the best indication of what the rod is capable of.</div>]]>

Ie the numbers with a line on carpenters, 83/35, or on some rods, a three digit number like 832 on the new backbone topwater. Sorry if this seems a noob question to some]]>
