The good old Kilwell Jellytip... Soft enough tip for livebaiting, should throw a popper or two and have been used for years on snapper.They are around with a black tip and a 3k carbon weave outer mid and butt, plus it won't break the bank. You were correct that there is no one rod that will cover all three bases properly so somewhere you will need to make a compromise as to which of the three needs is the most important.

I've got the 7'6 demon blood with a 12000 thunnus on it had the same ideas as you and I'm more than happy with it for all those applications . plenty sensitive enough. Hi guys how are you, but of a query regarding rods . Now before I ask this I am aware there is no one rod for all applications , especially not this. what I'm looking for is a rod that can strayline for snapper, live bait for kings and throw the very odd popper/stickbait. I've got the shimano terez in mind (spin) at 7'2" I think from memory.
