So were probably related!!! Not sure where Tonto 2 means, the road next to the refinery might be the one on the right, on the corner, just before you get there, that road takes you to a posse, just inside the Northern end of Bream Bay, might be a few there, I don't know from personal experience. As I say, the fishery has been depleted over the years by people taking too much, so have a good look round, try anywhere you can, you might be lucky!!!
Cheers.

Not so many now. If you want pipi, try the bank on the Eastern side of the wharves, on the Eastern side of the refinery. Tuatua used to be back further along Uretiti Beach. You need to try with your feet along there, watch out for paddle crabs though!!! After a storm, scallops can be picked up along the beach at Uretiti, you gotta get there quick and know the rules!!!

If you are on the other side of the harbour, along the straight near the golf course, cockles are there but you gots to look hard.

Kia ORA!!!
