Comments : Nationals T&R, this small fish had a few handfulls of longline and swivels etc in and around its mouth including a few big clumps of goose mussels (could be a new bait for them) we managed to cut the vast majority off, also looked to be a fresh scar on its left shoulder that could have been from a past tagging ... was this young fish caught 3 times already?

Just a question the date of the 30/06/2010 is the end of the game season officially is it ?

If so does int not rule out potentially the heaviest Tuna ? I mention this  again as I did last season  because the Blue fin season is just beginning  pretty much down south and would be discounted on dates not species.

Or conversely does it mean the first BFT caught last winter( the start of the last season) , and posted in accordance with the rules, is the winner?

As much as I would like to see this comp run within the normal bounds of the year to year dates of the game clubs the period of this comp is as follows "All pins and prizes are for fish caught during the period
1 Dec 09 – June 30 2010 inclusive "  as such if a big bluefin comes in by tomorow midnight then it is eligible for the heaviest other tuna and also the "ILEX" Trophy.

Ill be posting up a full results and prizes board by the end of the week :) and I would say that after a bit of consultation by the committee members the ILEX trophy will be announced shortly thereafter Thumbs Up

Best of all Jon (Tazzee) is leader for heaviest blue/black.  Guess he doesn't have to go far to pick up his prizeLOL
I waste most of my money on fishing tackle. The rest I invest in women and booze.

As my wife catches bigger fish than me, does that make me a bad fisherman or a great skipper.......
